Fashion PLM

Overview

Fashion PLM brings style, BOM, sample and tech pack management together in a single module for apparel/textile manufacturers. It provides an end-to-end flow that starts with season/colour/material/supplier master data, continues through size range and measurement point definitions, and reaches style-level BOM lines, costing and the sample approval process.

Key Concepts

  • Season / Colour / Material / Supplier — the shared master data records that style definitions are built on.
  • Size range & measurement point — which sizes a style will be produced in and which measurements are tracked for each size; auto-grade derives the measurements of the other sizes from a base size.
  • Style — the main record of a product; it carries state transitions, a delivery date, tech pack details and revision history.
  • Sample — the physical sample process for a style; it includes state transitions, comments and quote/price information.
  • Share grant — the access permission issued so a style or sample can be shared with an external supplier/stakeholder; external activity and external uploads are tracked through this grant.
  • Construction note & sketch — manufacturing notes and sketch/drawing files attached to a style.

Typical Workflow

  1. Open Fashion PLM from the left-hand menu; first define the season, colour, material and supplier master data (if it does not exist yet).
  2. Create the size range and measurement points; if needed, derive the measurements of the other sizes with auto-grade.
  3. Create a new style; assign colours/variants, add the BOM lines and enter the tech pack details.
  4. Run a costing preview.
  5. Open a sample request for the style; track the sample's status (sent → reviewed → approved and so on), add comments and create a quote.
  6. If needed, create a share grant for an external supplier and monitor the external activity (uploaded files, comments).
  7. Follow the style and sample process end to end on the timeline, and assign the related tasks.

Feature Reference

Constraints / Known Limits

  • The module is under active development; enterprise hardening work (versioning/audit depth, notification flows, tech pack file storage, tighter integration with PDM/BOM/Nuve Recipe) is ongoing.
  • The external supplier collaboration (share grants) process is at a basic level; advanced notification and approval workflows are planned for a later phase.
  • Test coverage and demo environment scenarios are still being expanded.
