Connectors
Overview
Connectors is the integration hub for PLM/ERP systems. It contains real, authenticated REST clients for Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA, Teamcenter and MyERP — these are not templates or placeholders but working code paths that establish a genuine connection and run search/structure queries when given the correct server address and credentials. Alongside that, each connector offers an import/export package preview and a synchronisation simulation.
Key Concepts
- Connect — an attempt to open a session against a PLM/ERP server with a username/password (or API key); each system uses its own authentication flow (Windchill: OData v5 + CSRF nonce, Teamcenter: SOA REST login, ENOVIA: 3DPassport CAS flow, MyERP:
X-MyERP-ApiKeyheader). - Mapping — the definition of which PLM/ERP field corresponds to which Nuve field.
- Sync — matching BOM data against ERP/PLM data for a connector and producing a difference report (Matched / Missing in BOM / Extra in ERP).
- Package preview / export package — a preview of the set of objects/fields to be imported or exported, and the creation of a downloadable package.
Typical Workflow
- Open Connectors from the left-hand menu and select the relevant system (Windchill, ENOVIA, Teamcenter, MyERP).
- On the Connection tab, enter the server address and username/password (or API key) and test the connection.
- For Windchill/Teamcenter/ENOVIA, search for a part/item; query the structure (BOM) of the selected part in Teamcenter/Windchill; pull the product and supplier list in MyERP.
- On the Mapping tab, review the field mappings.
- On the Sync tab, run and review the differences between the BOM and the ERP/PLM data.
- If needed, view the data to be imported/exported with package preview and create an export package.
Feature Reference
- Windchill: OData v5 based part search (
ProdMgmt/Parts) and BOM retrieval viaGetPartStructure - Teamcenter: SOA REST login, full-text search, multi-level structure query with
expandPSAllLevels - ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE: 3DPassport authentication (OnCloud and on-premise patterns), item search/structure query, bookmark (collection) operations
- MyERP: API-key REST connection, product search, supplier list
- Per-connector synchronisation runs and difference reports (Matched / Missing in BOM / Extra in ERP)
- Import/export package preview and package creation
- Audit record: every connection test and synchronisation is written to the audit log
Constraints / Known Limits
- The connection and search/structure query endpoints are real code paths, but authentication is repeated on every request (sessions are not cached); session/token caching should be added in the production phase for high-volume use.
- Passwords/API keys are sent from the client to the server in plain text; a secure credential store (secrets vault) and OAuth/SSO integration are recommended for production.
- The synchronisation and package creation flows are at demo/simulation level — there is no automatic, scheduled synchronisation with live data in the real system yet.
